Updated Climbing Schedule!
I haven’t updated this in quite a long time! I’ve had a ton of individual conversations with people regarding what I’m up to, but it’s definitely time to post a public blog update.
This past year my team and I decided to push back our climb of Mt. Aconcagua (originally scheduled for Jan/Feb 2015) to Feb of 2016. I feel good about that as this mountain isn’t one to rush into. Plus there’s a real good shot I’ll be on “another mountain” a couple months after Aconcagua 😉
I’ve also had the fortune of training a lot more Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu lately with my teammates at ATOS Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in San Diego. We’ve had people move in from all over the world to train at Atos and the experience of being around such high level competitors is incredible. Training is picking back up hard again and I’m only about 5-6 weeks away from competing at the World Championships in Long Beach, CA the last weekend of May!
I’ve been living out in Southern California for over a year now and I love it! I miss being close to my family in Atlanta, but I still get to see them quite a bit when I travel back for speaking engagements.
I’ve continued speaking and traveling around the world — including events for many thousands of people in Portugal, Malaysia, and Mexico all within the last year! It’s been a thrilling ride and I’ve got some more fun stuff happening in the near future.
Thank you all for the support and love you consistently send my way. I really do appreciate it with all my heart!
